I haven't paddled the Salado in a long time. It's about 125 miles from Memphis. It is very rain dependent, and the reality is we probably will not see enough water until Fall. It is not really a white water stream but one spot demands your spot on attention. I'd like to scout it again before organizing a club trip for next spring. If anyone is interested in a very spur of the moment trip to scout this little jewel, I'll make a list and see what the weather brings a little later.
