Come one, come all. Join us for some paddling fun on the Jack’s Fork of the Current River in part of the Ozark National Scenic Riverways system

Come on out and enjoy the fall colors, the local wildlife, and the good camaraderie. 

This trip is enjoyed by newcomers, old timers, and 3-4 generations on this fun-filled fall getaway.

Saturday Float Plan
Paddle 6-7 miles from Alley Spring Campground to just past the bridge in Eminence, MO. Time on the water will be about 3-5 hours.  Meetup at the put-in at 9:00 am Saturday. Bring snacks and lunch and necessary outdoor gear for a fun day on the river.

Backup plans - If the River Access in the campground is not usable we will move to the River Access in the picnic area across Hwy 106. If parking and access at to the take-out is unavailable, we will paddle a nearby section of the Current River.

Several BCCC members have reserved campsites in loop 600 (electric) of Alley Springs Campground for several days prior to this paddle. Other, impromptu paddling in the area may result.

This float is within the Ozark National Scenic Riverways System and is governed by their Laws and Policies

Camping & Lodging
We will be camping at the Alley Spring Campground operated by the National Park Service.

Loop 600 has electrical and water hookups.  The loop is high demand, short supply and will probably be completely booked by the time you read this.

There are still plenty of campsites without hookups.

For those who require an electrical hookup, There are other RV campgrounds nearby.
Eminence Cottages and Camp - Full RV hookups, tent camping, cabins and hotel suites
Jack's Fork Canoe Rental and Campground - Full RV hookups, electricity, water and sewer. No cabins.

Additional accomodations such as cabins and hotel rooms are also available nearby.

Socializing after the Saturday Paddle
BCCC members and friends will gather for a campfire and potluck Saturday evening at 5:30 pm at Alley Spring Campground Loop 600. Plan to join the group for a roaring good time of fellowship. Bring a chair and something to share.

Harvey's Alley Spring Very close to the Alley Spring Campground
Jack's Fork Canoe Rental and Campground Very close to the takeout
Windy's Canoes, Tubes, Kayaks amd Rafts At the south end of the bridge in Eminence

Food 
There is a variety of places to eat in Eminence:
Dos Rios - Mexican Southwestern
Dairy Shack - A favorite of EJ and others fans of soft serve
J&B's Olde Tyme Family Restaurant - Friday night fish fry
Hideout Bar and Grill - Enjoyed their hamburgers
And a number of others

Nearby Attractions
Don't miss touring the 100-year old grist mill at Alley Spring

Explore the area, take in the fall colors, the local wildlife and the good camaraderie on this long-standing BCCC getaway. Devils Well and the Cave Spring Trail is a good choice for a hike.

This meetup is for Bluff City Canoe Club members and their guests.  If you are not a member, we would love to have you join.  Membership is just $30 for the year and includes your entire family.
