We had good weather: warm with a light breeze.  Partial cloudiness made for a pretty sunset. There were lots of people enjoying the park so parking was a bit tight but not really a problem because there was constant turnover of vehicles.   

We also had a good turnout: 13 paddlers plus 4 members and who came to socialize and help at the launch area. The paddlers included two new members and a guest. There was also a non-member who stopped by to meet us and learn more about club activities but didn’t bring his boat. We attracted the usual inquiries from passers by on the park walkway.  

After the sun set and the boats were loaded, we hung out for a while to chat but soon the ranger drove through to announce the park closing. Overall, a mellow ending to the weekend combined with excellent visibility for the club. Perhaps the club flag and a supply of business cards would have been a good addition.
