Earth Day Festival - 4/22/2023

The Bluff City Canoe Club hosted a tent with several kayak posters and photos of past events at the Shelby Farms Earth Day Festival held on Saturday, April 22 along with some 24 other locally-based environmentally conscious organizations. With some excellent weather – sunny and in the 60s - we met with and discussed our club’s offerings to a host of visitors with some three dozen or so
participating in our drawing for two complimentary club memberships. Our two winners we hope to
see at our May Meeting.

Same time, the Club also hosted another successful Boat Demonstration (with kayaks and canoes) at the Hyde Lake public launch.

I want to personally thank the following BCCC club members who came out to support these two successful events for the Club: Deborah Myers, Jan Alderman, BenQuaintance, Paul and Teresa Beebe, Sandy Stacks, Igor Veskler, Andy Demetriou, Popeye Piercy, Mary Finley, Beverly Hollingsworth, Cynthia Lambert and Patrick Mayo.
