Join Chris and Mary Hugo for a weekend of exploring beautiful Southern Illinois. Our base for the weekend will be the Shawnee Forest Campground located just 4 hours from Memphis. This is a full hookup RV campground but they also allow tents. There are bathrooms/showers on the premises as well.

We will be doing a 10ish mile bike ride (mostly slight downhill grade) from Tunnel Hill to the Vienna City Park. This trail is a former railroad track and goes past lakes, farms as well as some beautiful old railroad trestles.

We'll also plan for lunch at one of the many wineries in the area followed by some hiking and dinner at Giant City State Park. We might even see a waterfall or two if mother nature cooperates,

Sunday, we will finish up with one more hike and a picnic at one of the many beautiful parks in the area.
